I have seen a few threads on here regarding the Starview box freezing for about 30 seconds and then channel coming back on again.
As mentioned in these threads this is N*L problem.
Just wondered if there is anything I can do to stop this as its been going on for a good month now.

    Any help would be great

You will need to know if you have a clone or genuine

    Count the vents on top

    18x7 = Clone
    25x7 = Genuine

Also you can go here to see some pics
    http://www.freewebs.com/dooby2oon

Press Menu > System Information and tell us what the API is

Yes , you will need to update the firmware on your b0x as Karl has indicated

You will need a null modem cable DB9F to DB9F.

    Null modem info

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=L71BT&DOY=2m6

If your pc does not have a serial port you will need a USB to serial port adapter to use in conjunction with the null modem cable.

    USB Adapter info

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx...t10&doy=search&MenuName=USB to Serial Adaptor

These two cable links are only for reference as they can be purchased alot cheaper on fleabay.

All firmware/loader can be found in the link at the end of my post marked Eamos Library.

You will need the GTromloader, (Starview Software Uploader), found in the Starview software folder of the link.

You will need version 2.57_FIXED firmware for CLONES found in "Starvi*w" firmware folder.

And please download the Starview PDF guide,(similar instructions, this will give you step by step instructions on how to do everything. This can be found in the Starview Documentation folder in the link.

I have now tried a few tips on this site and eventually got it back up and running after 4 flashes!

But!!! The picture is now & again going slightly pixalated and stuttering slightly can this be fixed its as if there is a bad signal

I am now on version 2.57 fixed on a cloned box if this helps

That is the right firmware for a clone b0x , try turning the power off at the back for a min then turn back on , If that fails then maybe you need to try a factory setting to clear it

    Menu > Factory Setting
    PIN 0000
    OK to delete

Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on

    English > Installation
    Choose Provider etc
    Automatic Scan
    Press OK
    Channels found
    Exit

    Menu 1570
    Turn EMU key ON

    Exit , exit , exit

Check your cable connections and splitter if you use one, if you have a weak sinal try a booster, if your signal is too strong try an attenuator.
