Yes 4.54 is the latest firmware but you must bemissing the logo file

You can flash with 4.50 for "THE B0X" and it will still auto update the codes for you

I went ahead and flashed from details on your previous post. Everything worked great. When we did an autoscan on one of the boxes with the emu on it only found 30 odd channels. We had found 180 on the other. We then just put the channel file from the dublin area on it and have ~150 channels. Does emu on cause some of the channel scanning to fail?

    Thanks again for the info.

The EMU does not matter if its On or OFF when scanning , Sometimes it picks up 33 channels , Do another auto scan and you might have to do this twice or even 3 times to get ALL channels

If you have the Starvi*w 2 "THE B0X"

You will need a null modem cable DB9F to DB9F.

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=L71BT&DOY=2m6

If your pc does not have a serial port you will need a USB to serial port adapter to use in conjunction with the null modem cable.

    USB Adapter info

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Modu...erial Adaptor

These two cable links are only for reference as they can be purchased alot cheaper on fleabay.

All firmware/loader can be found in the link at the end of my post marked Eamos Library.

You will need the GTromloader, (Starvi*w Software Uploader), found in the Starvi*w software folder of the link.

You will need version 4.51 UK firmware for THE B0X found in "THE B0X" firmware folder.

    Updating Firmware

Connect your box and PC with a Null modem cable and switch on the cable box and put it on STANDBY.
(The Starview does not need to be connected to TV to update it with GTROM)

Open GTROM Loader software make sure that you set the correct COM PORT that matches the one that is being used

Make sure App file only is selected, then click Bin File & browse to the firmware where you downloaded it to on your PC.

Run the GTROM loader by pressing Download and you will see the % progress increase
then Download completed message on your PC.
Wait until you see the DOWNLOAD COMPLETE pop up on your PC before
removing the NULL MODEM CABLE. The Starvi*w will then reboot

Turn off and turn back on , then plug your tv cable and scart back in

You will need the GTromloader, (Starvi*w Software Uploader), found in the Starvi*w software folder of the link.

You will need version 4.50 Ireland firmware for THE B0X found in "THE B0X" firmware folder.

You will need version 4.51 UK firmware for THE B0X found in "THE B0X" firmware folder.

All firmware/loader can be found in the link at the end of my post marked Eamos Library.

Is it zipped? You need to unzip it to your desktop.

Doggie follow these instructions below , you DO NOT need to open the .bin file with any program , You run it to your b0x through GT ROM Loader

    Updating Firmware

Connect your box and PC with a Null modem cable and switch on the cable box and put it on STANDBY.
(The Starview does not need to be connected to TV to update it with GTROM)

Open GTROM Loader software make sure that you set the correct COM PORT

Run the GTROM loader by pressing Download and you will see the % progress increase
then Download completed message on your PC.
Wait until you see the DOWNLOAD COMPLETE pop up on your PC before
removing the NULL MODEM CABLE. The Starvi*w will then reboot

Turn off and turn back on , then plug your tv cable and scart back in
