starview genuine cannot 1570

Anyone know if I can receive S*Y 1 on THE BOX. In the tw region.I know vi*gin stopped it.

 

i am in cork ireland and cant update firmware..sv box 1... ver 2.58e on it at moment..what do i need to update to?
when ever i try to update the GTrom says downloading but stays at 0%
only channels are euronews and setanta ireland..other channels can be seen in menu only with dollar signs in them!!!

 

You wont be able to get S*Y One in the UK on a SV or EV , Only through S*Y Digital

 

You can manually input the codes for now

To Update SV

You will need to know if you have a clone or genuine

Count the vents on top

18x7 = Clone
25x7 = Genuine
13x7 = 1st Generation

Also looking from the front
Scart to the left = Clone
Scart to the right = Genuine

Are you sure you have a null modem cable DB9F to DB9F ?

If your pc does not have a serial port you will need a USB to serial port adapter to use in conjunction with the null modem cable.

You will need the GTromloader, (Starvi*w Software Uploader), found in the Starvi*w software folder of the link.

You will need version 4.00 firmware for GENUINES found in "Starvi*w" firmware folder.
You will need version 2.57_FIXED firmware for CLONES found in "Starvi*w" firmware folder.
