    Hi
You could try using Jkeys to flash it. I have flashed a few boxes (Not Starviews )with JKeys and there is an erase option before the write to flash. Not sure if an erase option in Skymax, but it needs erasing first. Link to flashing below

    Hi
Ok then maybe we need to call in some of the 'longer been here' helpers like Celtic71 or Sc0user to point you to some leads.
    Any ideas lads?

Are you using a buffered or non buffered jtag a pic would help of your connections. Have you got your parallel port set to EEP and an IRQ of 378? If it has erased why not go directly to write and see what happens?

Ok then take a look at the info about Jtag in the link below and come back if you have any questions, You should see your interface there, and details how to flash.

You should have pins instead of pads is that the case.

It erased ok, so now click start again but this time dont click erase just go straight to write and it should write ok, when complete disconnect the parallel cable from the jtag, but leave the jtag connected and reboot the box it should now show the display and all that then needs to be done is to flash it with 2.57eE fixed and that should be it.
