Are you using the b0x from the main feed or a splitter to another room ? As a splitter can cause this to lose signal on some freq's.

Take a note of the frequency its on, then delete the channel. Do a manual scan at the noted frequency it will then appear at the bottom of your channel list fixed.

    Try this method

    Menu > Factory Setting
    PIN 0000
    OK to delete

Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on

    English > Installation
    Choose Provider etc
    Automatic Scan
    Press OK
    Channels found
    Exit

    Press Menu then 1570
    Turn EMU key ON

    Exit , exit , exit

No problem , your welcome :)

When ch@nnels disappear like that , its due to the cable co. moving the freq etc , a reset and fresh scan always does the trick ;)

I dont actually drink beer lol and im not far from the SE either ;)

Hey Celtic, i am using the box from the main feed. There is a 3 - 4 metre cable from the socket to the SV.

it is going to keep happening so write it down in a notebook of what u did and fixed as nobody reads anymore lol[/quote]

yer dead right! every time my dodgey box is turned off, it freezes when i turn it back on.
it goes on and off constantly.
i can live with that but my kids spilled liquid over my remote
and it's fairly wrecked so it doesn't always work when you want it to! :( so i spend ages wrestling with the remote.
any ideas as to where i can get a new remote controller?
    thanks again for the advice.
also, is there a way around reprogramming everytime i turn the box on?
i think my box is a clone judging by the vent-count, also i have it about a year or so.
thanks cactikid you have been a great help
