    Have Starview in Dublin - tried that code and nothing. Anyone any ideas.....:)

    Try switching the 00 and 01 codes eg 00 and the use o1 codes and vica versa, im in dub used the codes the origional way 01-codes worked fine for me. had to do it twice and save though

    was putting in the new codes given for the 13th of april, i entered for 00 - 9e ba 8f bc fc bc 8a 01 and stored and then when i tried to input the codes for 01 it came up as ff instead, has anyone sceen this? also if anyone could explain how to upload firmware onto to box, i know how to connect the box to the pc but where can i get the firmware from etc...thanks in advance

    Hi all, I'm new to this excellent forum but have been using it to routinely check for new codes and have been getting my box up and running again by manually entering the codes. To all those who make a contribution and update their code links can I say a big "Thank You!"

    I note all the talk about firmware updates and killing boxes with the wrong update and the issues of identifying what kind of box one has.

    Before I go down the road of trying to identify what kind of box I've got, and seeking out the right update for it and potentially making a mess of the whole thing can anyone confirm whether or not a successful update will actually cause the machine to stop falling over and requiring manually update day after day?

    Any help gratefully received.

    For what it's worth my box has 7 x 18 vent holes and the scart sockets are on the left hand side viewed from the front of the box.

    Thanx a mill guys for the codes, I have a question a guy is offering to "chip" the starview for €25.00 does anyone kknow if this can be done or is he probably just using the firmware to fix it. I can do that myself just have to get the cable for it. Thanx again
