hi there can anybody help i have moved house and my starview box isnt workin ntl came yesterday 2 reconnect it ,i have basic ntl but its worked of a decoder and aerial on the roof please can sunbody help lost without it not working i have tryed a splitter and all nothing hapeening thank u

i am located in dublin is there anything i can do 2 get it back working

 

Have you got the correct keycodes and is your key emu on?

 

ye have the codes and emu on sud i use a splitter its jst cuming up no signal will it work if its mmds cause once i know it works i will mess around with it

 

If it is a Starview with the correct codes and key emu on, yes it will work on N** MMDS. Please do not use a splitter and plug it into the direct cable feed. You say you have a basic subscription, so is your N** decoder working?

 

hi this is simon from rathfarnham in dublin .. i have been away for five weeks and my starview box is not working. it just keeps on saying that its been scrambled. iam not sure what it means . i have the ntl code. i got them off irishcode.com. Can anyone fix it for me . my friend says i need the manufacturing code for starview but not sure how i get it , does antone have it . i would appreciate if anyone could help me.

 

This is all you need to do as there has been no code change for the lats 6 weeks or so except a freq shift so if you do this and it is still not working come back ok

1 Go to menu first
2.factory settings,password code 1668,press ok for it to delete the channels
3.Then turn your box off and wait a moment then turn back on again
4.pick your language,english then press ok.
5 go to installation,cable network check your provider,automatic scan.
6 once its done scanning,press exit exit twice from here
7.now your in the main menu,,press 1570 on remote pad.
8.now your in the cas menu,press the down tab once,to go to emu and turn it on,exit three times to get back to screen and view channels

 

hi scouser ye my decoder is workin perfect so do i jst connect the cable 2 it .its jst i was told tat if i have mmds it wont work do i disconnect the ntl box all 2 geather r what way will i connect it thanx alot 4 ur help ur a gem

 

Yes take the cable out of that and put it into your box where it says cable input and use your scart lead as well and you should be sorted

is the codes 4 mmds the same as the normal ones 4 ntl thanx

 

afternoon all
this is a wierd one never seen it b4 went on me holls came back turned on the box got bad or scrambeld msg went into nagravision and the emu key was turned off wierd turned it back on and its working fine anybody else seen this one?

 

I would say you have starview 2 TheBox would i be correct if so you need to update the firmware to v4.50 if living in Ireland or v4.51 if living in the Uk there was a problem when you switched of the box it turned of the EMU by default so let us know what you have this is for the starview 2 thebox only

 

The boxes do not work with MMDS so if that is what you have you are wasting your time and your money as they will not work ok

 

how will i know if its mmds thanx 4 ur help

 

If you have a square shaped mesh dish on your roof or any type of ariel on it what area you live in and who is your provider C***** or N**
