Sorry you are out of luck there when the new boxes come out they will work on MMDS so until they do you will have to make do with what you have sorry to be the bearer of bad news

not sure what the name of them are but it will be a while yet so keep an eye out on the forums for it

 

it says on the booklet that i was given with the starview that i should not change factory settings. what will i do now .i appreciate your help

In order for you to use the box you have to do the above as these boxes are set to receive only free to air channels so the first thing yo need to do first is go to menu then system information and tell me what API version is on your box also is it starview 1 or 2TheBox can you tell me thanks

 

its a the starview box 1.. what do u want me 2 do now,,,

 

so it does not matter if i change my factory settings. if i follow your menu you reckon it will work . if i delete my factory settings then i will lose all my channels true or false. sorry for been so annoying i know your the expert its just i want it too work..

 

yes you will lose all the channels you have now so if you want to leave it i dont mind did you find out what version you have on your box for me


go to menu system information and get the API version off it for me


there is none of us experts here we are learning all the time anyway let me know what you want to do ok

 

Hey. Our Starview box hasn't been working for about a week now. Followed your advice and went to factory settings. When I go to install under NTL , no channels appear. It keeps saying failed. Tried it a number of times , have switched the box on and off. Turned the EMU to on. Any idea what else I could try?

 

Are you in the UK or Ireland?

 

In Ireland. When u go into NagraVision, there have been two separate codes given on the forums. Which is it I put in

Key 00 = 4B 7C D5 86 E7 01 CC 96
Key 01 = 8E 8E 46 FD 36 28 A3 F0

OR

Line 00
Line 01 ....with the codes you've given

I know it says Key Number and Key Data...so is it Key 00 and Key 01 I use?

 

You are using the wrong keys these are the correct ones for N*L:

Line 00 = A9 86 6E EA 39 EA 09 49

Line 01 = 9E 40 85 78 E7 82 10 06

Click the link at the end of my post marked Starview Info Dobby2oon, then click keys. This is a visual step by step guide for inputting the correct keys I have given you.

 

Thanx, I've done that and still no luck. Keeps saying "Failed" when I go to install the channels. Any other suggestions?

 

Check to see that the codes have stored correctly and that the key emu is on.

 

Yeah, all correct and EMU is on.

 

Please do an autoscan and then check key emu is on after the autoscan.

 

Ok, have done that. Still no channels being found! :O

 

Press menu and system info, tell me what it says please. You should be getting FTA channels eg, RTE1, RTE2, etc even without the keys.

 

Good news, we're back in action! Quite embarrassing...my boyfriend had never put the NTL cable into the back of the box!!! Thanx a million for all your help!
