Check the vents on top

18 vents --clone box

25 vents -- genuine box

13 vents -- first gen box

if your box is dead it might need to be jtaged if wrong software was put on it if you live in Ireland and you want it jtaged send me a pm and i will get back to you to pm use the head on the right hand side of the post click it nad leave message and i will get back to you

phonecall last night box down, on it was language or english nothing else, somebody did factory reset without his knowlodge,told to select *** and auto scan, all channels found and emu on, and his answer i will strangle that little git !
can a box delete all ch.data ?? when unplugged!
manual delete only [that little git ]

 

Here ya are crackkid do this and you will be sorted ok

1 Go to menu first
2.factory settings,password code 1668,press ok for it to delete the channels
3.Then turn your box off and wait a moment then turn back on again
4.pick your language,english then press ok.
5 go to installation,cable network check your provider,automatic scan.
6 once its done scanning,press exit exit twice from here
7.now your in the main menu,,press 1570 on remote pad.
8.now your in the cas menu,press the down tab once,to go to emu and turn it on,exit three times to get back to screen and view channels

 

already done my question was can the box delete ch. data itself or,it does only when told to??

 

sorry crack it is supposed to only when told to the box had problems when it came out like going back to default on EMU that is why they brought out the v4.50 for it only for starview 2 thebox ok leave your box in standby when going to bed

 

13 vents first gen boxes could be clones at this stage you would not know they would be old boxes now not new ok

 

i should have said starview1 original, i think maybe the son played with box and did a factory reset and said nothing so when father switched on box all he had was language.

 

Change the access code so he cant get in there if you get stuck and forget the code the override code is 1668 that will stop him doing any harm ok

 

80% MY CHANNELS ARE WORKING BUT OVER LAST 3-5 DAYS SKY SPORTS AND SOME SKY ASSOCIATED MUSIC CHANNELS ARE FREEZING BAD, SKY SPORTS 2 AND 3 ARE OK, SKY SPORTS 1 N N SKY SPORTS NEWS IS ACTING UP...ANYONE WITH SIMILAR PROBLEMS??? IM IN THE TALLAGHT AREA!

It may well be a problem in tallaght.
What type starview do u have ?
U might need new firmware put onto it !

 

I've got to the problem, it was the cable boz i got fitted, the signal from it that was going into my starview box wasnt strong enuff hence my box only picking up a few channels, it works perfect on the main ntl point in the living room, arghhhhhhhhhh!

 

Well done. If you still want to split the signal you could use a booster or replace the cabling with a good quality CT100 or both.
