starview n*l ireland

hi all
i got a faulty starview 1 back complaining of freezing,picture scrambled overheating and smoke smell ,on opening no smell of burning, and nothing visible. the last time i got that smell was when my cars computer [ ecu ] burnt out circuit board fryed. just to be safe will send back to supplier.

 

Yes i got one here as well this morning for repair when i opened it up to work on it the top of the cpu was totally of it must have overheated and caused it to burn out has to be a faulty batch you are lucky you can send your one back as the guy who ones this cant

it will depend on the area you are using not good for C***** Network my advice buy a eurovox one

 

Hi catikid I think its actually better mate .Ive had no probs with anything aparts from that freq change a while back ! ( although the epg isnt the best, its a bit better than starview)

 

yes ferg , euro be more stable for the ch**us area.
but digi all the way for me as it is a hybrid of 'the box' and 'euro'.

 

Main no bother mate but will not do the business down here only one that worked for me was starview apart from the autoroll problem and now i have the eurovox and i did not even have to put the keys in just tuned in the channels went to sly spt and bingo on it came

 

yep i know mate, i ment to add that the digi is on n*l cable here ! lol

 

yes they all work perfect on the N** network for some reason scouser said it was something to do with the rom image they use down here

yes i found digivox good and only 2 comebacks faulty and very easy to use. next thing to check out itgate for more info.
