done the scan. still not getting s-y 1 - s-y news - at the races etc.

 

guys on sv6+7 if it comes up not connected and router and mode is ok just r-boot box frm switch at back leave for 30 secs and it will come back on .....

 

hi guys any one no if the sever is down my box is showing not connected i watched prize fighter last night on s_y sports 2

 

Did you turn your router on and off? the box on and off?, checked the VM webpage for outages? checked your cables for anything loose?

 

yeah both my boxes are down in belfast,ok last nite

 

Back on again 5.45pm

 

yea mate tried everthing i no still no joy i no of 12 boxes that r down

 

try turning your router off for a few minutes, then turn your stv 7 off from the button at the back of the box. for a minute, then turn back on; happy days. if no joy go to b4u movies press o;k, then press 18 19 quick wait for 25 secs; should be back on, back on in birmingham;

 

off this morning

switched off and then on via back of box, now working again.

 

A New firmware for the SV 6&7 has been released today. I'm sure it will be in downloads soon.

I read in another forum that, the new firmware is not working on all boxes. For some its working fine, and for others its saying "Unregistered"

 

not again; more software that give you all the thingz; will post when iv had a play with the new firmware;

 

ive put the new software on the box; scanned it. no joy. just says not connected, is there server down??? had no probs with the other firmwares; ive press 1819 etc switched the box off & on also switched the router on & off. still no joy, any ideas,

 

av put softwere on and its saying not registard any way i can sort this

 

were have you got your software from. because when you click on the link it takes you back to the previous software view 1,00 which bdo's not work

Since you never answered the last time, tell me, why would a supplier get involved with this? Secondly, what happened to mail yer mac address, you havent come back on one thing put to you as of yet, but yet advise folks? The new firmware aint working proper either chief, some of the boxs are coming up "UNREGISTERED" so tell me how a supplier is going to fix this, cause the feedback I am getting is no supplier is doing this as it implicates them in piracy? So, Since you seem to be in the know and advising folk on the way forward, please feel free to enlighten us on how this is working

copy smgo221.ups to a external storage device or usb pen (make sure its formatted to fat 32)

insert external storage device or usb pen into the usb ports at the rear of the box

Press menu > utility > Usb > uk > SMGO221.ups > ok

s/w upgrade > ok

wait for s/w upgrade to complete and box to restart

once restarted

menu > installtion > facotyr default > ok > ok

Scan for Channels
menu >installtion > autosearch > ok
sybol rate "your symbol rate" > search >wait for search to complete > ok >exit >exit

got to premium channels (ie sly sports 1) press 1819 on the remote

menu > options > osd setup > screen format > ok > 16:9 > ok > exit > exit

 

My starview 7 box went down this morning is the server down or will it not work until this new firmware is put on the box,is starview trying to run some sort of scam by cutting off the starview 6 boxes.

 

have you read the above? you need to flash the box with firmware, but the firmware aint working 100% on all boxs

 

Starview 6 and 7 new file get it on your box ASAP

my box was off today when i got up pulled the new firmware in just updated box 1819 on sly sports left it for 5 min all back on working sound thanks guys
