STARVIEW NEW FIRMWARE

Hi I have a dc 7 box and want to move to sat. Could someone advise me on what to get hardware wise. I do have freesat at the moment through a Ross hd box from b&q. Also looking for best sub place for the new sat box.

you cannot use that box on Sat only on cable you will have to purchase a new box for sat either a Blade for beginners or a dreambox for more advanced users.

If you put this on your box you will find out alright, your box will defo go off before its time, and you will defo have to sub to them now, i suggest while your box is working flog it off and go Sat side more channels and more of a choice.

 

Hi, I haven't been on this forum for a while now I just been reading that after 15 august the SV 7 will turn off, its the true or is false.

Can somebody explain to me what Starview is doing in making sure the box will continue working.

 

I suggest you read the thread, its covered in from page one, what Starview are doing, you want to use em? you now pay for it, all covered in the thread

 

The expiry date on my starview 7 is 15 nov so if they disconnect the box from the sever on the 15 aug everybody that has had their box turned off will have to pay a sub to get the box back working again.

 

you can be assured your box will be disconnected automatically from there server on that date, you will then have to pay them if you want to continue to view it.

 

Hi I have a sv 7 box it keeps on coming up with message about sw out dated then long number it not connected. Can any one help

 

you now need to pay for your box to work now, your box has expired from server and until you pay them you will have a blank tv

 

Which, if you see some of the crap put on and repeated 3 times daily, might not be a bad option.

 

i brought a dreambox and went too satellite

I suggest buying a prepay credit card from newsagents (cost a fiver) get one with
no monthly fee or load fee.

Put 25 quid on it and pay em, that way if they get raided they don't have your paypal addy. Also you only lose a fiver by getting 6 months instead of 12,
and can always renew after that

If you need to register the prepaid card give false info.

 

They only accept paypal payments not credit cards, so you have lost on that one

 

I got the same message last night, was the long number not your box number,
i lost the channels then says not connected,i rebooted the box and router and the channels came back on.

it wont matter anyway if they get your ip addresson record.

 

dont think they will be hunting for individuals, they more interested in catching the main culprits and taking down the main source, in this case the servers, card readers and individuals that are directly associated with that.

 

wont be sending from anywhere I have virmin installed

 

ip address comes from the lan unit so it the same idea as a pc or sat box cablebox anything that has a lan connection.

hi my box has expiery date 15 sept but as of today has stopped working
a blue box keeps coming up saying login message old sw box no any ideas as to why im getting this message
