starview ntl dublin

when i do a scan im only getting 34 channels, mainly discovery and stuff! there working fine but was wondering is there a way to get the others??? my signal strength and quality is over 80%

any help greatly appreciated

 

Do a factory reset, you may need to do it more than once. There was a frequency shift a few weeks ago, and Starview doesn't always see all the channels on the first scan.

 

thanks for the help, did about 5 factory resets and rescans and it eventually found 170 + channels so happy days!!

 

Please note when you do a factory reset you need to switch the box off at the back for a min or so then turn it back on again in order to clear it before doing your rescan ok

 

Hi I'm a total newbie to this. N*L in Dublin, on a lot of my channels the sound is screwed up, how do I fix that? Thanks

 

To get back sound on e4 sky1 ect just select the channel in question press menu,
select installation, select manual scan, click ok on down frequency.
It'll now scan for channels when its finished exit back to normal
tv viewing screen go to the end of your channel listing and the desired channel will be there with sound.
This can be done on any channel with no sound by just selecting that channel following the instructions above.

OK have you done the factory resetting within the last 10 days

 

No, I didn't know I had to. My mate set it up for me a few months back and I'v ejust been changing the codes as I go along

 

u will get all the info need on the starview tut under my post if u are still stuck, also click on peoples names as they have a lot of info links inside !

 

Do this and you should be sorted

1 Go to menu first
2.factory settings,password code 1668,press ok for it to delete the channels
3.Then turn your box off and wait a moment then turn back on again
4.pick your language,english then press ok.
5 go to installation,cable network n**,automatic scan.
6 once its done scanning,press exit exit twice from here
7.now your in the main menu,,press 1570 on remote pad.
8.now your in the cas menu,press the down tab once,to go to emu and turn it on,exit three times to get back to screen and view channels
