I don't think it has anything to do with n*l. I think it may have something to do with the chip as you say or some internal programme that enables it to scroll up and down channel selector. I got someone to jtag it for me but the result is the same. Still loads to 0 on the front.

bigdon you have the wrong firmware on your box ifits a clone that version will kill it if it hasn't all ready, you should have 257eE fixed for your box.

    Its a hardware fault.

1.Remove the cap (c21) electrolytic near the ribbon on the psu board.
2.Boot the box , it should boot to on and function correctly , the psu will hum ignore it , just let it boot to ON ,then turn it back off.
    3.Replace electrolytic cap (c11) 1000 mic @10v on the psu board , resolder (c21)
    thats it done.

You can get caps from Maplins

    Hi folks.

Is anyone receiving the TV1700 channel? This is the one where the wrestling pay per view show is due to be broadcast this Sunday I believe.

Is anyone picking up the preview shows at the moment?

and yet people will still come on, ignore about 5 or 6 existing posts and create yet another post about a virus on which magically comes down a cable!!!! As Fergus said, its just what they want.... some poeple havent the sense god gave them when they were born.

    Balcee,

Frequency for wrestling ppv channel is 747.000 MHz. Presuming you are on UK frequency n*l go to installation, press ok. Scroll to manual scan, press ok. Type in 747.000 in Down frequency section. Scroll down to where it says disable and change to enable using right side > beside ok button. Then press ok button. It will scan all channels on that frequency, one of them being the ppv events channel. That is the one for the wrestling on sunday.

    Hope this helps.
