Hi BlackDog, There is no need to rescan for channels each time , Are you using this from the main feed or a splitter ? "No Signal" indicates a problem with your cable provider and not the b0x , Plug your cable into normal TV and see if its ok Try another factory setting , turn b0x off for a few seconds , turn back on and select English and continue with Installation , When channels are found exit back to viewing and press Menu then 1570 and turn your EMU key ON
Thanks for replying celtic. Ok so i have starvi*w 2 the box. And i have the whole Com thing set up. Mines on Com 3. Mine tv screen is blank, flashing lights still flashing on the box, and nothin happens when i press menu. The remote works fine because i just checked it on my brothers starvi*w. I am in Dublin and using N*L.
Hey, i have tried to re flash it, i have the software and all the cables and it jus stays at 0% for about an hour then says flash update fail.
How do i put it on standby, nothing happens when i press the remote. Nothing will come up, not even menu.
lorr, it is a bad flash is the problem. you have to keep flashing, it'll take a few goes before you succeed. i used my laptop also when i had a bad flash and it would not do it. i then used my pc and had success. i guess my pc had more resources. check back on previous posts regarding bad flashes and you'll get all info needed.
I have been trying a lot on my laptop, now went to try on the pc and in the Com section, it only has 1-4 and mine is on 8 and any port i put it in the numbers just go up.
lorr, call up device manager, select the LPT port 1, right click, properties, port settings, then you can chage LPT port settings to suit your com
ok so i went into that, it said ECP printer port LTP1, so i had a choice to chang it to 2 or 3, changed it to both but com stayed at the high numbers.
lorr, my error, i'm in work and its busy, but please follow these instructions. get back to device manager, expand communications ports COM1, right click, properties, port settings , advanced, select COM PORT number, thats it in a nutshell. best of luck with itlorr.
McCool, i don't think you use lpt1 which is a parallel port but do use a serial port which is a com port.

did you go into the secret menu? press menu then 1570 and turn the emu key on and the channels should unscramble. Maybe you have done this but jus trying to help incase you havent already done this.
Hiya, press MENU on the remote control, then press the digits 1570. That will get you in to the SECRET MENU. Then make sure that EMU key is set to ON.
