starview problem?

computa go to menu parental control type in your pin number if you havn't changed yours its 0000 then type in new pin underneath (2004) then go to confirm pin (2004)then go down to second pin type in 2004 and this should give you the secret menu (nagravision)

 

Hi,
I have a question about my starv**w. I got the box through a friend of a friend and it was already flashed and set up.
Problem: I get UKTV G2 rather than Dave and it comes up scrambled.
I am with N*L in Ireland. All codes are up-to-date.
How can I stop it picking up UKTV G2 and start it picking up Dave.

I went into Channel Edit and renamed the channel as "Dave". Turned off/on - not working. Did an automatic sort through the Installation menu and it still comes up as scrambled or bad.....what to do?

 

Sorry misread your first post. Take a note of the frequency UKTV G2 is on then delete it and do a manual scan on that frequency, it should appear at the end of your channel list.

BTW Dave is on 291.000 on N** true cable in Dublin.

 

Go back into channel edit and delete UKTV G2 and do an auto scan and it should appear as Dave at the end of your channel listing

Eh! Went in deleted UKTV G2 and Men and Motors (only other channel that says scrambled or bed). Did auto scan.....no UKTV G2, M&M or Dave.... Anything else I can try?

 

Sometimes it does not say found after an auto scan , check the end of your channel listing , if its not there , Do a manual scan on 291.000 , check at the end of your channel list again.

 

It wasn't at the end of my channel listing. But now I messed up the Symbol Rate and Constellation values in the Manual Scan menu - D'oh!! What should they be?

 

Ooppss lol

Menu > Installation > Choose N*L , Manual Scan

Down Freq = 291.000
Symbol Rate = 6887
Constellation 64 QAM
Network Scan = Enable

Ok...They came up as scrambled or bad anyway.
Any truth in the rumour that N*L can scan people who are using the box or that they will introduce new encryption that will make the box useless?

What freq is that channel on anyway lol if its 291.000 this is what you should have

Rumours will always be rumours and all we can do is keep our fingers crossed till it happens and as far as I know they cant scan to see if you are using a b0x

 

Eh....Got some different channels than those! But got about 8/9 channels like CDL HW221vB2 - its on PCR[8191] and at 291000 but doesn't work anyway! Im in Dublin - that make a difference?
