starview problem?

yes i did an auto scan still the same problem turned it off now back on.

 

when u scanned did it find 33 channels or 171 irl or 270 uk ? i am trying to find out if it picked up extra channels that u cant see or did not find in scan,i think u might have to reflash with 257 fixed to autoroll to find codes

 

when i scanneed it it found around 170 channels but when i go on them it says updating and nothing happens

 

does the updating info say 0% and do nothing?try changing to a different channel and see if it moves0%,20% etc let it update and picture will come on when finished usually around 200% max,report back

 

it up dates to around 180% then it just stays blank

 

did u try any other channels as some are not broadcasting

 

half the chanels work like bbc1 itv channel 4 and 5 but none of the sky sports or asain channels work nor do the sky movie or discovery

 

i pressume u are uk based are u scanning on right provider as i saw on other post more channels with different provider,if u are uk ,factory reset and autoscan a different provider,report back.

 

yes im uk based in yorkshire im on the virgin media and scanned the box with t+w how do i get my fav menu sorted out do you know where i can get some software from please it just says fav 1 fav2 ect.

 

did u scan other providers to see if u get more working chs.
u need a channel dump from ur area to put onto pc,arrange back to box,i have not done it because everytime you reset box u have to rescan

 

Sounds like its not the autoroll firmware

If its still on the updating loop its not detecting the codes so it must be the other 2.57 and not the 2.57_FIXED

 

stopped updating 180% then blank

 

scan on different providers and report back

 

Hi only new to this so would appreciate any help that anyone has.

Have a starview box now a couple of months and haven't had many problems but yesterday I was doing some work on the house and cut the electricity to the house and when I restored the power back the starview box wasn't working. No channels are coming through at all. I have tried restoring the factory settings and re-installing but to no avail I get 0 channels back. I have checked the codes and Key Emu in both on and off and no joy. So if anyone has any other bright ideas I'd be most appreciative.

ok start from scratch factory reset 0000 ok to delete,english power off box for a min/on ,english ok,autoscan ur provider [ as in who ur with ]2 lists of channels,tv/radio should start filling up with channels,170-280 depending on where u are,when finished exit back to menu 1570 and emu to on report back

 

I need the channel dump for bradford but every time i go to the Digital World website and try to register to download it wont let me. Can anyone please put the bradford channel dump on this site please Thank You very Much for you kindness

 

Hi Cactikid thanks for the reply but unfortunately no joy. Restoring the factory settings is fine but when I do the scan I get zero programs found. The cable is good because I have put it straight to the tv and am getting stations.
