    I have a few channels missing from my system... abc1, itv3 and a few others.
    The scan finds them but they don't fire up and all I get is a black screen.
    Wondered if there is a cure for this??

    It may be under one of the channels named TV***, (where *** indicates a number).

    Hi, I'm a newbie to the site, have a good bit of experience of "The Box" on NTL but am trying to get one set up on Chorus in Kilkenny...True Cable Connection from the wall, no aeriels, not MMDS. Have 4.5 Firmware on it Boot 7.0 have done all the usual tricks and still absoloutly nothing, have changed the codes 00 and 01 for the appropriate provider numbers. It works fine with NTL so the box is fine..have manual scanned with all frequencies mentioned previously on this site and on the right 6785 or 6735 thingy. Im at a brick wall. Cant find anyone who has one in Kilkenny but Im sure they're out there. Can someone help?? Im at a loss here...wrecking my head. All help appreciated.

    Hi.,

    just installed a star view box. Every half hour or so the programme switches off and I get a message "bad channel or scrambled signal".

    15 seconds later channel comes back on.

    Please help.

    You will need Digital available in the area as you wont get channels with Anagolue

    Its probally a problem with the cable company

    Press Menu > System Information and tell us what the API is please

    Also

    You will need to know if you have a clone or genuine

    Count the vents on top

    18x7 = Clone
    25x7 = Genuine
    13x7 = 1st Generation

    Also you can go here to see some pics

    The house has Chorus digital, the cable runs into the back of a digitial reciever the same way as NTL does.

    2.57eE Fixed is for a clone box Version 4 is for a genuine box, both firmwares will autoroll the codes.

    If you read ITD at the sticker underneath of the sagembox its chorus mmds. As far as I know Kilkenny Ch**us signal is received from a central MMDS mast.
