    Count the vents on top of your box, 18 = clone, 25= Genuine

    sorry i got mixed up i didint look at the scart properly because if its on the left its a clone but if its on the right its genuine yours is genuine

    Yeah, scart is on the RHS, cheers.

    I was wondering as the link in http://www.4shared.com/dir/3042613/f6e3421c/sharing.html mentioned that, plus my remote appears to be genuine too.

    So I should be safe with the genuine only firmware, thank God.

    I don't think so, scarts are on RHS, remote is genuine too (take a look at pics). This is what is highlighted under the 'Clone or Not' thread in http://www.4shared.com/dir/3042613/f6e3421c/sharing.html.

    No mention of the amount of vents there, just the scart & remote.

    I appreciate your concern but how do you know my box is a clone having reviewed all the info I have provided in my last posts? Please fill me in....

    Can anybody else confirm? Or will I end up looking at the motherboard to know for sure?

    I would like to confirm that i am using the correct firmware from http://eko.4shared.com/

    Starview - Firmware - CryptStar-v1.4-Genuine Only

    Would this be the correct download???
