    that was the problem , sorted now ! i'll have to have a chat with my flatmates, someone was trying to fix it and out them back the wrong way.

    Yeah Karl, black box. Everything was perfect after the installation of the firmware. But nothing since I switched on this morning.

    thats weird all right i have the april 10 version on and its updating grand press menu-preferences-ok on language settings and then press 1968 and make sure your emulation is set to enable

    What's the emulation? All that's displaying is the language settings menu. Main menu is set to English as is 1st audio, 2nd audio and subtitle lang.

    could be a clone check wether its real or genuine 18 vents = clone
    25 vents = genuine
    13 vents = 1st generation

    vents are the slits on the top of the box from top to bottom

    left scart = Clone
    Right scart= Genuine

    im sooo excited!!iv got my null modem cable and the convert usb to serial cable and i hav 25 vents so im good to go!!can someone tell me where to get the step by step guide now....and the idiot guide please as i dont have much tech know how.thanks.

    its got 18 vents so it has to be a clone but the scart is on the right can it be updated???
