STARVIEW PROBLEMS - ***NO CODES HERE ANYMORE***

If you want sly sports 2 do a scan on 499.000MHz. Press Menu - Installation OK - Manual Scan OK and enter the frequency in Down Frequency and press OK - when it has finished you should have it back - it may appear at the end of channel list. Method of entering frequency in Down Frequency press left < arrow key and it will show 0.000, enter 499000 in via remote key pad and press OK try it does work and 1 minute tops, (do not enable Network Scan using this method).

u will need a gtrom loader 2 upload the firmware on 2 ur box u will find 1 on this link

UPDATING

1. Plug Starview in at the mains;
2. Plug in null modem cable and join up box with
PC using COM port on PC (there is only one socket for
this on the Starview you cant go wrong);
3. Open up GTRom loader or whatever software you have
for loading image on the box.
4. Click on "BIN File" on GTRom and load the
Auto update BIN File file that you have

5. Now click download button and you will see the
file being downloaded.
6. Once complete a mssage will apppears saying
something like "download successful".
7.Ideally you should try and get a bin file channel
list for your area and load this as well it will save a lot of time.
8. Alterantively, plug box in and press Menu on
remote, installation, choose your cable provider,
then move down to automatic scan and press ok.
9. Once all channels have been found press exit back to TV screen.
10. Now press menu, parental control, press ok.
Now press i then 2004. Move down to Key Emu and change option
to on. Press ok , then exit back to TV Screen.
11. Go to SLY SpOTS and wait on keys updating.
12 That should be you.


only place u can go rong is using the right computer port
to check which 1 u ar using

hit start
1..control panel
2..systems
3..hardware tab
4..device manager
5..the plus on the left side of the word PORTS

hi just looking for somw advice...iv just updated my box...wooohooo!but i dont think i did it right!!when i plugged the tv back in to the box all the channels were still there so does that mean i did it wrong cos i thought that i would have to do a scan again?

No youre fine you only have to rescan after a factory reset, not after a reflash.

 

no mine was the same. . iam sure the keys will change sum time to day

now when i press epg and info on the programme the background is green...does that mean it worked?

 

Best way to test is to wipe you codes and go to Sly Sports and see if it autorolls. To do this press menu, type 1570 on your remote and then press the default key and then exit out to Sly Sports and cross your fingers
