They are sold out if you had a decent supplier you should have got one with the box.

 

Got the Eurovox in a market in Dublin - have it over a year, only now is the trouble starting Ah sure if i can't get on tomorrow i shall have to order it online! Thanks for that

 

Sorry to hear that, make sure you have a genuine version and not a clone before downloading though.

Can anyone help with the following...
For the past two days I have been trying to get my Starview back working using the latest codes and none are working. I'd like to install the firmware to allow it to auto roll the codes but not sure what/which version to put on it and bin file, etc. I've been reading some messages from trusted members saying that the latest version isn't out yet. Is that the case? If it is available can someone please tell me where I can download it & how to go about installing it. One other thing, how do I tell(or can I?) if my Starview is a clone or genuine?

You will need to know if you have a clone or genuine

Count the vents on top

18x7 = Clone
25x7 = Genuine
13x7 = 1st Generation

Also looking from the front
Scart to the left = Clone
Scart to the right = Genuine

okay , it is 10 past 10 saturday 19th april. 3 questions what are the c****s codes for south ire.? is there software to sort it out perm. ? Is there another box that will work better, i have the eurovoxmaxv. the link to the thread only gives codes up to yesterday.

u will need a gtrom loader 2 upload the firmware on 2 ur box u will find 1 hear

lastly u need a null modem cable if dont have 1 u will get 1 hear

if ur pc dose not have a 9 pin serial port u have 2 a USB 2 SERIAL PORT ADAPTOR in conjunction with the null cable ..u will get 1 hear

UPDATING

1. Plug Starview in at the mains;
2. Plug in null modem cable and join up box with
PC using COM port on PC (there is only one socket for
this on the Starview you cant go wrong);
3. Open up GTRom loader or whatever software you have
for loading image on the box.
4. Click on "BIN File" on GTRom and load the
Auto update BIN File file that you have

5. Now click download button and you will see the
file being downloaded.
6. Once complete a mssage will apppears saying
something like "download successful".
7.Ideally you should try and get a bin file channel
list for your area and load this as well it will save a lot of time.
8. Alterantively, plug box in and press Menu on
remote, installation, choose your cable provider,
then move down to automatic scan and press ok.
9. Once all channels have been found press exit back to TV screen.
10. Now press menu, parental control, press ok.
Now press i then 2004. Move down to Key Emu and change option
to on. Press ok , then exit back to TV Screen.
11. Go to SLY SpOTS and wait on keys updating.
12 That should be you.


only place u can go rong is using the rite computer port
to check which 1 u ar using

hit start
1..control panel
2..systems
3..hardware tab
4..device manager
5..the plus on the left side of the word PORTS

u sud up date ur box so u wont hav 2 nput keys manually

 

i have look looked at firmware its like looking up a cows arse i havent a clue about all this technology

but the codes are on here pretty quick so i dont mind putting them in manually

my box hasnt went since yesterday morning in D10

so its all good

 

it an't dat hard use the step by step tutorial a few posts up
it takes bout 10 mins
