STARVIEW PROBLEMS - ***NO CODES HERE ANYMORE***

    Hi complete newbie here i just want to know if i should risk updating my box even if i dont have a clue how too do it would the new software fix this problem with the autoroll?

    I'm on NTL Ireland and have the Euro-Vox MaxV 2008
    if i go into system info my
    Model is DVB-XC BoxV TDA
    S/W is 1.0 STC4 Oct 15 2007
    H/W is 2.0T K5
    Bootstrap is V001
    S/W Build is Kuro

    The CA Status just says v1.7C

    The codes are all from the different cable co's so they are the same for all the boxes,the three boxes basically do the same thing but as in all varity people have there favs mine is the eurovox,and yes i try to update the manual input thread asap,because it was started by me i can only update it which is better than having every tom dick and harry messing about.

    go to the thread manually imputting codes and that gives a step by step on how to change the code i'm not sure if that code is the most up to date but if you look along the threads you will see the code for the 14th but the stop by step is on tat thread hope this helps in some way

    Hi Karl me again as i said i'm a newbie and just want to find out as much as i can do the boxes work with chorus digital
    i was thinking of getting another box where is the best place to get one as the one i have i got when a friends son went to newzealand
    i've seen a few sites when you punch in eurovox which look good in england 100 sterling or so

    they will all work on ch@rus digital do i no nothing about the dreambox but only if you have a digital feed" true cable" and not mmds(aerial on the roof)in which case you will need the the box t or eurovox tx

    I'm in the UK on N*l, entered the new codes and nothing, tried to re-scan using auto scan and no channels are found. Keeps failing.

    Can anyone help!!!! Thanks

    Are u 100% sure your NTL try a CW or TW scan if you find channels put relevant codes for that provider and it will work

    Guys get the new firmware...Brilliant.
    I have Original Starview 1, and downloaded new firmware.
    I am on Chorus Ireland.
    Went down during match Sunday and firmware rolled in 20 secs.
    Get the Null Modem cable and download it...
    No more annoying the guys here for codes.
    It is Brill.

    i want to download new firmware to my box problem is my laptop does not have a rs232 port it only has a 15 pin rgb port any help please

    You need a RS232 to USB convertor, plenty on Ebay around £4 delivered

    help please!
    do you need to unplug everything from your st*view and just leave the power cable in when you are downloading firmware into the st*view using null modem cable. Or do you need to keep the vgnmedeea cable in.
