Can someone tell me where I can get a usb adaptor for the null modem cable in Dublin thanks

NULL MODEM cable is used to put firmware on your box when you upgrade it, commonly known/referred to as flashing - you will find all the info and even pictures at these link >>>>>>

    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/653745#3968302

Scroll through the page it is the same method of use/connection for the boxes - it is veriy important that you get the correct cable and not simply an RS232 cable which they are both often merely called it is part no:-

NULL MODEM CABLE DB9F to DB9F

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=L71BT&DOY=2m6

And NO your not stupid, if you don't ask you will not find out, we all had to ask at some point, hope you find the info. useful Cheers :)

    Good advice Malci,
However i hear you wont get one of these for love nor money in Dublin..theyve completly sold out...most boxes should have had a RS232 cable supplied when they bought them.

Hi Des - Yes I an aware that they are in short supply in Dublin, the only answer is mail order but I can't really post that info:- in UK myself - (regarded as advertising and don't want to fall foul) but anyone that wants one can pm me for info:-, and yes the supplier's should send them with the boxes, a lot do. Anyway it was only information that was requested, wondering no doubt what people where talking about - by the way I was away when that there lunatic was doing his ranting, all I seen was red red red in his posts, can imagine that he would, if he is not already make in ideal employee for that lot.
