    can i get another newer starview box off ebay an it will work the same as the 1 i have now? like a starview 3? or am i better with a eurovox?

    no chorus codes have rolled again, any of ye with the updated box's got the new ones, still waiting for my rs232 cable with usb adapter before i update mine

    what about 1. erase all channels. 2.factory default 3.powerscan or autoscan. 4. manually re-enter the keys

    i am trying to put firmware and software onto my starview for the first time, can anyone help with a step by step?

    Updating Firmware

    Connect your box and PC with a Null modem cable and switch on the cable box and put it on STANDBY.
    (The Starvi*w does not need to be connected to TV to update it with GTROM)

    Open GTROM Loader software make sure that you set the correct COM PORT
    that matches the one that is being used

    Make sure App file only is selected, then click Bin File & browse to the firmware where you downloaded it to on your PC.

    Run the GTROM loader by pressing Download and you will see the % progress increase
    then Download completed message on your PC.

    Wait until you see the DOWNLOAD COMPLETE pop up on your PC before
    removing the NULL MODEM CABLE.

    The Starvi*w will then reboot

    Disconnect from PC and connect back up to the TV

    yeah MAINAMN that what i did and i can see all codes from all providers...but what good is all that, i'm on Cho*** , i want the CH**** keys and the yellow button deletes the key and brings it back to default , anyway thanks for ur help
