    Hi
If you go into the Parental control menu you then you are also doing it wrong. go to my last post in this thread and keep reading it and trying it, reading it and trying it, reading it and trying it until you get it. I can't say anymore than that.
Just make sure you have the right software in the Starview PVR, How to do that is also in this thread.

Here it is AGAIN read it SLOWLY :::
Use your Remote Control press Menu/System Setup/OK/ (NOTHING ELSE)
You should then have onscreen 5 Items
    1.Change Pin Code
    2.Old Pin
    3.New Pin
    4.Confirm Pin
    5.Second Pin
Then when you are on this page press i 2007, you may need to do this a couple of times at different speeds then you will get to the Cas System Menu,(6 items on screen) move down to Auto Update Option select it to (ON)

I am having the same problem - but only for some channels - some premium ones work, others freeze or give me the above message. I have the loop through cable connected correctly. How did you manage to fix yours mo5afda - was it a simple reboot? I tried that but still no joy.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I have just got the box pvr. When i select pc in the hdd menu then connect a usb cable it will not show up on the pc. I am using vista is there any reason that this might be causing the fault? I have tried both firmware versions etc but no joy. Any help would be appreciated.

I have looked through all the documentation and there is no information regarding this. I have tried 2 different hdd's. I go into the menu then go to hdd change mode enter the password and it changes to pc. I then connect up the usb cable but it does not pickup the device. I have tried 3 different usb cables and 2 laptops both that run vista as I do not have one with xp.

    can anyone help me please.
just had the pvr box and was wondering if when you use the pre record on the epg.can you stop it changing from the one i'm watching to the pre recorded one (it's annoying when you watching the footie and it turns over automatically).
    thanx

Hi you should still be able to use the remote to move to back to the movie channels without effecting sports recording, don't think there is a way round this, will try myself and see if it happens on mine, could be something to do with which transponders they are both on (ie same or not) or which tuner they are using (eg 1 or 2)

    Hi
Mine does the same, changes to the EPG channel, so its normal, can't do any more.
Forget the transponder etc, not relevant.

Just set up my star view pvr (the box) and i have a couple of questions.
What is the best way to connect it to tv-just scart or is there another way ?
On the back I have cable loop 1 input (NT Hell in this) then cable loop 1 output also cable loop 2 input cable loop 2 output. Which of these do i link together with my loop cable?
    Cheers!
