starview seems to have died ??

When you enter 1570 look down the end of the CAS menu and you will see KEY EMU go down to it and press OK to turn it ON if it's off.

You have the latest firmware so your box should auto roll the keys.
It looks like you may have to do a factory re-set and re-scan for your channels.Factory re-set will also allow you to use the codes we have given you.

Go to menu/factory settings enter 0000 click OK

 

pip if she does that and cannot get into the cas menu she will have no channels then

 

She'll have the same channels she has now. She for some reason has to get into the cas menu to turn emu on or for some bizzare reason to enter a key.
Factory reset puts everything back tothe default settings

 

Just read the previous posts

Do not go into parental control. when you've pressed menu on your remote do not select anything just press 1570 on your remote to bring up the cas menu. scroll down to emu key and use the > button on the remote to turn it on exit all and select any channel and it should auto update.

 

wasting your time as they are not able to do that for some reason dont know why but

There has to be something wrong with there box if they cannot get into the cas menu

 

OK I'll go with that BUT
She can get into menu/parental control.
Why not just enter 1570 on the menu?
If parental control can be accessed then so can factory settings.
Factory settings can allow you to put everything back to default.
Once that's done re-scan, turn emu on and everything should be OK.

The biggest problem here is that ppl don't explain fully what the problem is.

 

What they are saying is when they press 1570 they cannot get into the cas menu that is the problem

and even doing a factory reset that is not going to make any difference all that does is reset the channels to 0 and turn the Emulator off

so how are they going to get into the emu then

As if they cannot access in the first place they are still going to have the same problem

 

I'm not quite sure on that as if you read her reply again she says that she is in parental control. 1570 will not work from there.

 

That has nothing to do with the parental control at all as this just allows you to set the permissions to stop people meddling in the menu that is all nothing to do with the cas menu at all

 

I agree Fergus but if she is trying to access the cas menu by entering 1570 in the parental control she'll get nowhere.

 

yep i know but if they cannot follow all the instructions we have given what is the next step they need to get someone that knows what to do so that is my advice

 

I've sent her a PM if she responds I'll take her through it step by step. If not it is no longer our problem.
