starview seems to have died ??

hi. my mates box has all the chanels but der scrambled. can sum1 tell me how to get them back. wwe tried a few tings no luck.btw lives on northside dublin if dat helps. thanks

 

Do you have EMU turned on?
Do you have the auto-roll firmware installed?
A bit more info would help us to help you.

 

Try This and see will it work ok

1 make sure your incoming cable is connected to the cable input on the box and not going thru a splitter

2 Make sure you have a scart lead connected to the tv on the box and connected to AV1 or EXT1 only
also make sure you check this as been a proper working scart

3 Next go to menu factory settings and press ok put in 0000 code press ok to clear all data

4 Make sure you turn the box off at the mains for 1 min and turn back on again

5 Accept the language

6 Installation put your provider in the top box then do an auto scan wait for this to finish even if you see
failed a few times this is normal so just be patient till it has finished

7 When this is finished exit out to main tv screen

8 Then go to menu and press 1570 on the key pad into secret menu and turn the EMU on which has been switched off by default

9 Exit out 3 times to main screen and put the box on to the tv channel sky sports 1 and wait for this to update this
could go up as far as 250% so again be patient and wait also do not change the channel while
this is been done or you will have to start all over again

 

Fergus, i reflashed the 257e fixed firmware onto my box. it took 20 mins with the USB to null modem cable i had. Plugged in back in but there was no change, if anything it was worse.
Took the lid off and had a look around. i found that the spade connectors on the on/off switch were a bit loose. pushed em back on and that appears to have done the trick. been back on for an hour now without rebooting once.
As before i have posted this in two threads just to let you know how i got on.

put in the codes for the uk from the start of the year then wait for ur box to update by it self if the box updates up to 500% it should work make sure the box is not warm let it cool down plug it out for one 24 hours then plug it back in but always put in old codes it up date it self ,if this does not work buy a starview 3 ring 1234567890 edited by ddp the starview super is the new starview 3 for 2008

Hi Pip, I was trying to figure out what he was up to as well, It seems the very 1st post on this thread is close to what he was trying to answer, In relation to the 500% update I got a 1340% once myself!!! !!!! I think youre right though it seeems like blatant advertising and at that price it seems that CLONES have landed in Dublin already

I wouldn,t know how to do it, however if you can wait a while i will be in touch with the person who put it there for me and ask them to alter it, Other moderators have seen it and had no problem with it, so leave it with me and i will get it sorted.

I appreciate what you say re the update percentage but come on that will only happen once in a while. Another one he mentioned "make sure your box is not warm"! I could go on but I won't. I just hope the mods remove his post altogether.

 

tryed to install starveiw 2 but wen channel is up datin it dosent stop at 100 per cent it just keeps goin up i would b gratful

 

A stated in my previous post i once had a 1340% so keep waiting!!
and put it on sly sports to do this.
