starview seems to have died ??

Press Menu then 1570 and press the "Set Default Key" , press OK , then go into Nagravision and input the codes , press OK to save each key data and tune into S*Y Sports and it should update for you

 

hiya.i got problems i downloaded the Gtromloader and the 4.50 firware but it wont download on my box

Are you sure you have the b0x on standby and you have the proper NULL MODEM CABLE ?

ya i have it on stand by and i also try to different types of cables. would i have to restore factory settings before i can flash the box

 

yes do a factory reset on your box then put the box in standby and then flash the box ok

 

hi all,

i was looking at a friends box today and decided to bring it home to look on here for help......

my problem is in his house there was a signal but i was getting signalm scrambled messages ( i though i would get the codes on here re-propgramme it and hey presto )

when i connected his box at home the message came up no signal !!!

i am getting a signal on my dreambox and on normal tv but the starview box is coming up with no signal...

i tried it in 2 other rooms with same result.

i switched it off and waited a while and tried again... same story.

any suggestions??

also where would i find the best software for flashing the box?
also the best software to actually flash onto it??

first things first did u plug coaxial into cable input?

the ariel cable was tried in cable input and tv input although i now know its the cable input i need to use.

 

ok with cable into cable input power off box then on what message is on screen?

 

you must mean power off then re-start ??

when i power off the screen goes blank.

when i power up the channel bar comes up along the bottom for 3 seconds then it goes off then an ifo message comes up saying no signal.

i also looked at manual scan and the 2 bars were both at zero

 

are u and ur friends in same area as provider uk/irl?

 

both in dublin 12

 

do u both have n*l cable or do u have mmds aerial on roof?

 

we both have n t hell cable

Menu > Factory Setting
PIN 0000
OK to delete

Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on
English > Installation
Choose Provider etc
Automatic Scan
Press OK
Channels found
Exit

Press Menu then 1570
Turn EMU key ON

Exit , exit , exit


Press Menu > System Information and tell us what the API is please

Also

You will need to know if you have a clone or genuine

Count the vents on top

18x7 = Clone
25x7 = Genuine
13x7 = 1st Generation

Also looking from the front
Scart to the left = Clone
Scart to the right = Genuine

you guys are the greatest !!!!

followed the instuctions and it all seems good. except....

you forgot to say that after i switch the emu on i get a info message saying data is being updated........

it has done that 3 times so far and is now on the fourth

i am waiting to see what happens next !!

 

if you have the correct firmware on the box switch it on to sly sports 1 and wait till it is finished updating could go as high as 270% dont change channels or you will be starting at the beginning again
