    Not too bad today Karl we have a place down here, but havent been here in a bit. Done a good bit of walking today with my duughter up the Conor Pass, hence why I am flaked out in the sitting room :) Not from the walking but boy can she talk :)

    i no i have a 7 year old meself she'd talk for ireland, and they sure no how to get around their daddies lol

    So
    6.0...couldnt even finish scanning for channels before it was rebooting
    6.01 was rebooting before i even plugged any cable into it to try it.
    Similar situation with 7.05
    7.09 wasn't much better
    8.0 is close, but no cigar,
    any other sugestions?

    7.09 should work. does the lcd on the front of the box say anything odd before it reboots?

    I have the 7.09 on a new sv3 & it still reboots, but i can live with it as long as it doesnt happen during the football :)

    It displayed the following when it crashed-
    0
    3
    6
    8
    and half a 6
    Different numbers after different flashes

    yep, it sounds like a capacitor problem, more than likely c11. look to see if any cap's look damaged.

    thats weird they must keep making them different. mine only ever rebooted once with 7.09 and it was a different reason, the picture froze and the sound was still ok and the lcd read 0 (which sounds like a cap problem) but it only happened once and that was last month.
