I'm pleased it has worked for you gizz10. Sods law, my box gave up the ghost the other week so I bought a new one. Now I'm having the same problem as you had in your original post. I've reversed my cable in case I installed it wrong, but to no avail,Very odd.

As to your other problem with the recording issue, if you are using the loop cable from tuner 1 to tuner 2, instead try using a cable splitter and feed both tuners directly. I've done this with my new box and along with turning the box off at the back over night I haven't had any bad recordings. It has also solved the problem if you are recording 2 channels at the same time and when the recordings finish one of the tuners displays the "no signal" message.

Hope that helps, let me know.
    Cheers

Thanks micscave, I hadn't thought of trying a splitter, altough I already have the incoming signal split 3 times, one into my genuine V box, one into my cable router and one into the PVR. Is it going to affect it if I split it again? No harm in trying i guess so I will give that a whirl and let you know how I get on.

Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your box now. Maybe a faulty cable if swapping it round didn't help? Interesting to see you stuck with the same box too.

I'll let you know how I go.

    Hey gizz10
Sorted now, my usb lead was knackered.

Yeah I have the same amount of bits connected as you but I use a 4 way splitter from maplins which seems to do the trick really well.
Just a thought as it has really made a difference to my recordings & I never get the "no signal" message on tuner 1 or 2 any more.

I stuck with this box as I've found it to be a great unit, nearly 2 years of service until it had the "ON" fault 2 weeks ago. Looks like a psu problem & hopefully a fix will be found soon. It's being looked into on another forum so fingers crossed.

Give a 4 way splitter a go as I think you will see a difference.
Good luck & post back with your results.

    Cheers
