dinga you say the language is in german? this mabey because it might be a austrian version,

AU stands for Austria?

mabey you can change the language in setup?

also as for your channels, i have had the problem in the past,updating the firmware has made my channel dump inconpatible i just had to start again, this helped http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/displayepg.php?platform=digitalplus

 

Sorted the language ,downloaded the channel dump again It put me back into installation/scan etc and still did not work.I will have a look at that site before the kids come in and take the computer off me

When you open this fix it is the same one Ive already downloaded

 

dinga id re-flash it just to be sure, if it first was in german its best to be 100% sure you have the right one!

 

I have installed the new firmware, but when I turn the box off then on again, I have to scan for channels again, like a first time install.
Any one else having this problem?
Any ideas how to solve it?

 

when you turn it on, and you get to the menu, just press exit on your remote, channels should still be there!

 

I have to select english, then press exit, and the channels return. Why does this happen? Does this happen for anyone else?

Not the end of the world, but never used to have to do this.
Any way round this?

 

There are teething problems regarding this fix, they are being worked on, leave it alone for now and as soon as its rectified you will see it posted!!

i have the same box as dazlee and i have installed new r/w TheBoxPVR_v3105_08Dec2008.The system info shows it is there and every time i turn on box from standby it rescans, but i am still only getting the standard bbc itv etc. thanks

 

As for your channels, are there any other channels in the list (e.g the channels are there but just dont show?)

 

yes when it scans all the channels come up some in white and some in yellow. but only the standard ones play bbc1 bbc2 itv etc. no sky sports or any other cable channels

 

it does not auto update as before

 

when you go into the menu and system settings there is a option called keys(i think), that needs to be enabled, also go into the secret menu and check autoupdate is on.

 

Have you turned it on? just give it a check to see, as below:-

If channels not clearing go to Menu / System Setup / Press OK with Parental Control highlighted then press i then 2007, this should put you in the CAS SYSTEM. (May need to do this a couple of times quite slowly to get into CAS SYSTEM)
With Nagravision 2 highlighted Press OK, On the Provider ID Line select your provider by using the left / right arrow buttons on remote then press OK, wait for it to save then press exit. (Your provider needs to be the same as the one you selected in Cable Network Option).
Finally make sure Autoupdate is On (Bottom Item in Cas System.) this may have changed in the fix, not to sure - Go to a scrambled channel and wait a while to clear.

 

Yep, I thought so - I am sure it has changed to keycode or similar.
