STARVIEW THEBOX 2

is it thebox starview 2 and if so has it got 4.55 on it? the starview1 should work.

 

it says "the box" on the front with a red x and its 25*7 vents and i used the box 4.55

Vicky, as take that once said "have a little patience" lol
The SV2 will eventually kick in.
Set the default key & try s*y two again, if it doesnt work, turn the b0x off at the back for about 15 secs & try a few movie channels.
It will come in on one of them.

 

then it should update the ones i flashed worked but it updates 3 times before the channels work. have you tried setting the default key and leaving on sky 2 for a few minutes?

i had to do loads meself noely. over 20 so far and most are eurovoxs i've never done before.

 

yeah gtrom4.00 for starview1. use the 2.57.bin since it's a clone.

I did 8 SV 2`s today & all are up & running, just tkes a while to kick in .
Not much difference in flashing the EV`s steo, although i`d prefer to stick to the sv`s.

i find sv's easier and faster than ev's but ev's are still kind of easy with the right firmware. except for channel scans on ev i hate the scans on them they take forever without a channel dump.

 

i can't load 4.55 onto the box it keeps sayiny flash failed can anybody help me or what do i have to do

 

it has to be a null modem cable not just a standard rs232.

also make sure the box is on.

if it still fails:

if it's a null modem go to device manager in the control panel on your computer and go to the ports.

select properties on the correct port and go to port settings and press advanced. change the port to a port between 1-4 thats not in use.

make sure all cables are tight.

 

hi there, iam trying to update the box super and get as far as loading all channels but when I switch to sky 2 it is still scrambled. I have followed all your steps as outlined but I can't seem to find anything labelled emu in the menu. If i am i missing something really obvious can you please point me in the right direction. My box justsays 'The Box Super' on it and I have downloaded fix for starview the box 2. thank you

 

well the box super is starview 3 so you have the wrong fix. Start again from here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/722659

emu is in the secret menu

press menu 1570 emu on

steo i downloaded it again just in case and two min later there it was!!patience is not one of my virtues and it was wrecking my head!!

 

something must of went wrong the first time (annoying)

 

i've tryed all that and it still won't work any other suggestions
