why wouln,t an auto scan find all the channels?

 

What box do you have is it the starview 1 / 2 or 3 can you tell me and what firmware do you have on it

It should but if you dont turn it off at the back sometimes the data is not released from the chip

also make sure you are scanning without a splitter on the cable and from the main room where it comes in first you can put your splitter back on then after that

 

well i now have 29 channels, maybe i should put the channel dump back on to scan from the lowest frequency but that hasn,t worked either so far. API is 4.00e-E vrs 7.0 date 7 jun 2007. i did the update with Crypstar Genuine only 1.4. it does find some channels so can something be wrong with the auto scan?

 

yes, in the main room , no splitter, your right i did use one of those for a while to keep both boxes on the go to get the 'catchup tv etc' but on one of the rolls i lost s*y 1 and the splitter stopped me rescanning it

 

There is No Sly1 on C&*?? Hasnt been on VM for quite a bit

it is possible i got it after a manual scan but i am on c&* and i did have sk* 1 until last week.

 

Must be the only one as there is no Sly 1 on any ex franchise area, which is the whole lot of the UK on VM.

yep if you put channel dump on and rescan you will lose the channel dump you have put on again as you will need to do a factory reset to clear the box again

do a factory reset put the channel dump on and then see what you get

 

Scan on all providers as CC has aligned some areas try telepest, N** as we as your franchise area.

Hi, Ive updated my starview box, done the whole 1570, emu on...everything..then when I exit back to sky sports, a box comes up saying data is being updated and goes up to 250% (sometimes less) this then flicks back to sky sports but still nothing. This keeps happening over and over again. Am I doing something wrong??

 

Are you sure it flashed correctly?

 

Yeah, installed it perfectly, have all the channells just cant get the picture, am doing another scan at the minute to see if that works!
