STARVIEW UPDATING FIRMWARE - NO CODE BEGGING HERE

no cactikid passed the box on to a wizard friend of mime he thinks theres new firware out there for this problem let u know how i get on thanks

 

Tell your friend there is only one firmware version for the 1000SL. The 8% fix firmware is only for a Max V box. But I am not a wizard

Have you tried a CDF from one of the other boxes onto this one? Also make sure you coax connection to the RF in socket on the back of the EV is sound.

 

i did a box to box data and code sw transfer all d channels came in but signal not found

 

theres only one male and female connections on them boxs coax connections has to go on the rf

 

The other socket is only loopout, they do not have RF out. Have you tried a booster. Looks like a faulty tuner/tuner driver.

Not that common with the 1000SL different tuner driver. 8% problem was more a problem with the Max V. But as Ferg said send it back.

Hi all, for some reason when i scaned my box i am only getting sk1 sky news and sky sports news, any idea how to get the other channels that have returned from sky? Ta

 

try a manual scan on these frequencies:

hi i,m new to this stuff and bought a starview box (25x7 vents
0,there is a list of channels but no picture. i bought the cables to flash it. i,ve tried following the software and firmware downloads but it just keeps saying flash failed. help

 

Press Menu, and go to System Information and post what it says, what does it say on the top left corner front of box? and have you got it second hand.

 

I have 2 starview 3 boxes and recently lost celtic tv on both today i got 2 eurovox sl 1000 and flashed them and the only channelmissing is celtic tv anyone got any ideas im in the D24 area Thanks

 

The Champions TV is on 418.250, & it doesnt broadcast at the weekends so you might have it & its blank.

 

Well all you are right i never said common what i did say it is becoming common now on them boxes as i have come across a few now that have the 8% prob on the 1000sl although they are new tuners they are mass produced and it is possible that a batch of the tuners where faulty

AND A WORD OF WARNING DO NOT USE THE 8% FIX FOR THE EUROVOX V ON THE EURO 1000SL OR YA WILL HAVE A NICE ASHTRAY FOR YOUR TABLE

I am sure when the manuf has enough returns for this box like the last 8% prob they had they will do a fix for it

Any people that have that prob dont try and fix it RETURN the box to the supplier let them do the work for ya
