When did you last flash the box, because the version of firmware you have on it is the version that was modified in April this year to AU, and will show as what you posted above. So if you have only just got it as you say in your previous post then try a scan and see what happens first, you may have the up to date moddified firmware already on, do a Factory re-set first as below.

    • Press menu and Factory Re-set OK, English OK Installation OK
    • Select correct provider i.e. NTL, C/W or TW
    • Then automatic scan OK
    • Once the channels are found, exit back to the blank screen
    • Press menu then 1570,
    • Go down to the bottom option and turn EMU to ON.
    • Now exit 3 times and go to S*y Sports and see if it updates.

What are you using - are you using a NULL MODEM lead direct to the PC, and what OP system is it XP or Vista.

yea using a null serial lead rs232 and a USB serial converter, imsing a laptop and it is running on xp

Then your problem is that you have not assigned the USB adaptor to the correct COMM port, that is of coarse if you are quite sure that you do have NULL MODEM lead and not a straight through serial lead, this is no good to you, the NUL MODEM is wired as below, where are you and what provider.

    RS232 Null modem cable wired,

    Pin 2 ---------- Pin 3
    Pin 3 ---------- Pin 2
    Pin 4 ---------- Pin 6
    Pin 5 ---------- Pin 5
    Pin 6 ---------- Pin 4
    Pin 7 ---------- Pin 8
    Pin 8 ---------- Pin 7

yeah i think you might be right bout me havving the wrong lead. its made by NIKKIA pure connectivity , it just says serial lead RS232 female to female, on the box, im guessing that its a straight trough not a NULL modem,i hav alot to learn way as far as this stuff goes

It does look that way, it appears the incorrect lead alright, you will have to get a NULL MODEM, sent you a pm.

I need a help again lads. I've teh starveiw (old box) in Ireland and I'm on N*L.

I've updated it with 4.00 (is that correct? should it be 4.50?)

I'm only getting 48 channels after the scan. When I turn emu on and go to sly sprots it trys to update and doesn't get past 0%.

Any idea how to trouble shoot?

Maybe if peeps did some checking first before posting they would be better off

1 if no signal == check the cable both ends

2 if no power == check plug

3 no picture == check scart lead is plugged in correctly and full 21 pin both ends

4 no channels found == make sure you are scanning on correct provider
