STARVIEW UPDATING FIRMWARE - NO CODE BEGGING HERE

Good morning. Can someone just confirm the setup i need: I have been using a starview for almost 2 years on it's own and have now had broadband service installed. I have the cables and the splitter i want to use the box and the modem at the same time whilst remaining undetected obviously! Do i run the main cable to the splitter into the modem and run the other cable to my box?

folks looking for some help here and as u have been so good in the past please give me a dig out again.Have a new starview 3 super opened the box flashed with GTrom8 but when scanned it wont update just getting stuck in a loop on 0%.So i tried the trick of getting a channel without the $ symbol putting in standby and flashing again still no joy. Lo and behold i had unplugged my old The Box and when i went to plug back in it also done exactly the same??? I am now flashing that in standby mode with the right firmware to see if I can fix that. Does anyone have iany ideas as to what I have done. I had 2.......on new....one old.......now I have none Please help Many Thanks

 

On both boxes, press menu > 1570
Turm the key emu ON
Go to Set Default key > press ok & exit to s*y sports & let them update.

 

been doin all that still no joy flashed correct wont update? both boxes wont?

 

Did you try the boxes in a friends house & see if they work?

 

think i might have the THE BOX one goin ok. Flashed it with the old Cryptview and it seems to work?But It does not have same menu so gonna flash it now with 4.50e to hopefully get the rest. The new one is a mystery i cant flash it with CRypt cos GTROM8 wont allow it . Any suggestions? Thanks again

i have setup my super box usb hav installed the new software but
cannot find the emu when i scan for channels after the scan it automaticaly goes to a tv station and i can not find the seacret menu
can u help me pls

i hav v1.02.. is there a differance? should i update it?

I have no idea if I have got a clone or real starview box, as below you see why.

Looking at the first post it says a clone has 18x7 vents which mine has, however the scarts are on the right so thats saying the box is real.

so what do I have a real one or a clone?, is there any other way I can check without opening cover?

 

The v1.05 is the newest firmware just added to eamos, so flash it with that

 

Its for the SV4 and if it aint broke dont try to fix it Its still Beta with Ch**us fix added. I havent had a chance to try it yet but will later.

 

If its a starview 1 then flash it with the Crypstar 2.57. This is for both genuine & cloned b0xes.
