STARVIEW UPDATING FIRMWARE - NO CODE BEGGING HERE

Did you check to see if the EMU was on?

 

Check all cables are fully inserted.
Scart at the bottom insert.
IN language: press ok
choice of provider.
start auto scan.
Exit,should be back at EMU.
turn on.
exit,exit.should be back at channels.
put on sly spots
should say updating data%
and should click in, can take 10 secs- 5 minutes

Or do a factory reset. and flash again. delete previous download and re download...

Gotto go out for a while,keep trying and let us know how you get on!

guys, can anyone help with this...
have done factory reset and flashed an original starview with the correct firmware several times but picture keeps freezing and box turns itself off and on intermitantly also noticed picture breaks up on screen occasionally

 

Have you checked the C11 capacitor on the PSU board?

thanks guys found answer on page one. flashed old firmware then new and all seams ok

DesB I have followed everything you said but still no luck. The problem is after I have done the factory set or autoscan, when I exit out, it takes me back to language setting and therefore I can't get to check EMU. I have re-flashed the firmware with no luck. Everything is still as was.

 

DesB problem has been with the main cable. Just changed it and all the channels are loading as I send this. Will let you know how things go.

 

hey lads...doing another box tonight a starview with 25 vents and the scart to the right from the front....but the front looks nothing like mine...more like the front of a super only it says "the box" but the buttons are the same as the super...any recomendations as to what it is?

 

when did you come across this box??? moght be a clone

 

picked it up from the cousins house tonight...is there any other clues to tell what it is?you would swear it was a super from the front...you know the on/off button to the left and right beside it a circle of buttons and there all really shiny not dull and in a straight line like mine is.

i think thats what it is starview 2 the box but what threw me was thats what i thought i had myself and it looks so different!cant check the api just now cos him indoors is watching a movie!how many different types of box is there cos i thought there was 3?

 

There is 3, what you are describing is a SV2 The Box, that's all it say's on the left hand front.

 

lol let me guess its full metal jacket?? lol there is 3 starviews star view one and star view 2 the box and star view 3 the box super and there are clones of all of them plus there is a box t as well but shouldn have that in your possession

 

cheers malci...so what is the box that i had?it had 25 vents scart to the left but all the buttons ran along the bottom of the box underneath the display panel...i thought that was "the box"...lucky i didn't mess it up when i flashed it!!
