see post above, tried factory reset, did all the other stuff and got 19 channels on ex c&*. These are only on 738750KHz & 746750KHz with no sound and 322750KHz. On 322750 after a bit it says 'no signal' which i took to mean no programme being broadcast. Completely stumped. do i just keep going. any ideas? or is it £90 for a new one.

Anyone else having problems with their starbox tonight. I can get some channels BBC1 RTE TG4 but no sky setanta etc. The message on screen is something like ' currently updating 0%' I've seen this before but it usually comes back after a few minutes but nit this time. I've tried turning it on and off again but no good.
I'm on n*l (virgin) and am in Belfast

could be just a local problem or if it is a code change then switch to sly sports as it usually autorolls quuicker on that channel
also if your switching it on and off all the time its possible the emu was knocked off so menu 1570 and switch to on if its off

Turn box off and then back on from the back switch. If its still the same try deleting the problem channels and do an autoscan they will appear fixed at the end of your channel list.

Have you got the correct cable/cables as per Celts post on page 1?

So you are using the two of them together yes? Are you sure its the correct type as it may be just a Standard RS232 cable which looks the same. Also when you say you got the Comm Port problem sorted did you reassign it?
