I have a genuine Starview, living in Dublin and the firmware is Cryptstar v1.4 genuine only. As far as i can see it is downloading 100% and i get the notification that it has completed. The problem is when i go to do an automatic scan and select nThell. It looks for the TP's but they all fail and eventually get the message of 0 programmes found

check to see you have the connections in the right places, and are fully home,failing this do a factory reset, check the provider is correct, full auto scan, turn on emu.. you should be sorrted!!

I have completed the above instrustions and have now found approx 170 programmes, however any of the premium channels like Sly Sports etc i cannot view and getting the message "Scrambled or bad channel". I can see RT*E, T*V3 etc. Any ideas??

 

Turn key emu on. Press menu, type 1570 on remote and enable it.

It was already on. I have disabled it and then enabled it again and still no joy. Any other ideas?

 

If flashed correctly it should clear. Press menu, 1570 and press default key and see will this give it a kick start.

afternoon everybody. im just about to update/flash my box for the first time, i have a gen starview 1 box, can anyone help me, tell me what files i need and where can i get them. ps i have linked my starviewbox up to my pc, should my starview also be linked up to the tv at the same time???

please help, i dont have a clue about stuff like this. Hail hail

and your TV doesnt need to be joined to the box whilst uploading, any problems give us a shout!!

hi des, when i tried to open the gtrom_v41.00 file it is just saying windows media cannot play the file, what does this mean mate, can you help

 

I cant figure out why its saying Media cant play the file... you dont want it to play anything.... what exactly does it say... and did you download the wirar as well?

 

Delete the w1nrar file from your PC and download this to your desktop and run it from there
