    You can try this

Press Menu > User Setup > Time Settings >
    Time Zone : GMT + 00:00
    Current Time : Auto
    Summertime: On

    Exit back to viewing .

Looking for some advice please, i am trying to update a Starview for a friend of a friend and when trying to access the menu, its looking for a password. Problem is, the password is unknown and not set as 0000. Wondering if there is a way around this??

Different tuner drivers. If you have no trouble with 6.01, stick with it. There will be new firmware out soon either way.

if it is the older super box that is fine to leave the V6.01 on it if not you will have to put the V7.05 on it as the box wont pick up any channels with the other one as they have changed the tuners on the box now in the last few weeks

The new firmware is been tested now as we speak so it should be out during next week to sort the rebooting problem out so dont worry either way

check menu system info and post what it says, 454 is the most up to date but i havn't heard of any firmware on the box(starview 2) not auto rolling, have you pressed menu 1570 and pressed ok on the set default key and then exit to a premier channel ie sly movies to see if it updates?
