    just a small update from me.
    to this part
    13x7 = 1st Generation

    in my case there was
    18x7 = 1st Generation

    so i would suggest best bet is to look in side the box first .

    mine turned out to be .the genuine mk1 starview which clones were based on has a different heatsink and a smaller 8 legged chip

    hope this is of help to someone

    I Have seen many of them myself and with the same results they all die after a while for some reason if they have the red paint on the screw head and the pointy chip cooler put the v2.57 regardless but as i said there has been those that you are referring to have died also after a period of time as well

    Hi again Scouse
    the emu was set to on. I checked after the factory reset & it was indeed now off. i changed it to on again & there were no changes so i ran another installation still no difference apart from the number of channnels which now stated 116 or thereabouts where with the factory reset it was 300+ - -
    Any ideas?

    Yes. i've kinda got an idea what i'm doing. Was inputing codes as they changed for a while b4 opting to take the firmware route as the codes dried up.

    I know I kinda know what I am doing too :) Some areas have been realigned hence why I said that. Try scanning on all providers and see what you get on each one.
