scouser can u tell me what firmware is for genuine and for clone please ive tryed a few with no joy

 

if you're talking about sv1 then core 2.57 is for clones and 4.00 is for genuines. 2.57 also works on genuine anyway.

 

i have tryed them all when i switch the box on wait till the green lights syart to move i press download the lighs keep moving progress bar goes to 100% then says download failed if i try download then box on nothing then download failed done this lots of times

 

it should be download and then turn on the box. if it says download failed cancel, turn off the box, press download again and turn it on. it may take a few attempts to finally start downloading but it should work.

 

ive tryed that many many times but nothing

 

even tryed transfering from an other box still nothing maybe i am doing it wrong

Sorry bit far from me. All I can say is make sure youn have the correct cable/cables and keep trying the bad flash method with 257Cryptstar and Gtromloader V.400. Even to make sure download fresh versions.

downloaded it but the date showed older than 27/05/07 which was already there? though both seem to be working ok

Then I downlaoded the ***-400.bin which was later than what I had got.

will the new firmware do an autoroll? bc things keep on changing everyday and it can be a pain.

dont worry about the date of it thats ok and as long as you put the firmware i told you to ya should be fine and it updates too so your hassle free now

i am in London T/west I have done factry reset All o k .put it on channel 160=bbc1 after a couple of minuets up comes 6 on the box and it reverts to achannel saying scrambled etc
