press menu 1570 and see if your emu is switched on

Hi i just join afterdown.

i was bought 2 month ago The Box
I have a Starview 1 i think so,and am in Dublin on NTL. My system information is as follows:
API ver: 4.50e_E
Boot ver; 7.0
7.July.2007

its was working fine i had NTL beofre around 14 channels after Box its was 183 and alls working fine.2 days ago i was just turn off my Box and start after 2 or 3 hours later it looks fine but i can see only NTL channel which one i had before RTE setenta ireland discovery city channel all those my all channel were gone i was trying to rescan many times turn off and turn on its only say Scramble or Bad channel for every channel except RTE and few NTL more.could Any one help me to fix this problem it will be very thankful to u.

I am just updating a mates starview 3 the box super with v6.01

i read that on another thread, hope its right

can anyone tell me if there are any clones out there of this box or should i just go ahead and install it without killing it

 

Yes there are clones but no clone killing firmware, so you are safe for now. I would recommend using 7.09. Have a look at Celt's post here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/663923

i have never seen one of these boxes before so dont know unfortunately

 

If its only a new b0x then the 7.09 will do the job, older boxes use the 6.01 & as Sc0user said theres no clone killing firmw@re out there (yet) for the sv3, so you`ll be ok.

 

not sure how old the box is but if i put 7.01 on it and it dont work than i can just put 6.01 on it to connect it can i?

sorry for being a pain in the AS$ mate but i have connected to the box with my null modem cable and opened the gtrom loader but comp saying cannot open com port. but com port is working properly.
any ideas?
