STARVIEW UPDATING FIRMWARE - NO CODE BEGGING HERE

Afternoon all ,

I have come across a starview the box super, Tried the 8.00, 6.01, 7,09 firmware emu is on and after every scan on each TP it says fail. None of the channels are working?
I am using the correct provider and theres nothing wrong with my feed/connections or signal strengh as you all know my other EV's work fine,

Any ideas would be greatfully recieved!

 

Im having the same problem. Yesterday all the pay channels went scrambled. I updated the firmware a few months ago when the new 1 came out. Any suggestions?

 

Sorry I forgot to add it is the older version of the box I have, I hadn't even heard of this new "super" box until today. Also if it helps im in Scotland as I know the codes are different in Ireland.

Ddrago, can you press menu.. system Information ...and tell us what it says on the screen!

go back into menu 1570 and press set default key then exit to a channel and wait and it should update.

Yeah did the factory reset after each firmware loaded?. I'm out of ideas starting to think the tunner is dead?

Ok can you press menu press 1.5.7.0 then press default...Make sure emu is on and go to sly spotsand see if it updates, I will be here for a while if you need more help!

what message if any are you getting? and can you try scanning in a different room, might be a stronger signal!

 

Cheers mate, Im in work at the moment so i'll check it when I get in. Im a bit worried as I've had the box a few years and the only times its went down is when everybodys has went down. Is there any reason why this would happen.
Also, I know its a bit off topic but is the new Starview 3 worth buying if you already have the 1st version, is there any real advantages to it.

 

Now we are getting somewhere!!LOL when you say that its only when everyone elses goes down so does yours, that means you will have to flash the box, to do that if you click the first line in my sig you will see an idiot proof way to flash!!!
on the second line it brings you to the FIRMWARE you require to flash the box, any problems come back and dont worry about the match on sunday!!! there only one winner!!

the only message I'm getting is failed upon each TP as it goes through the search, Tried the direct feed without splitters and I know my signal is fine as all my others are working perfect. all that diplays on the from of the box is "On", I would imagine once the channels are found the ON would change to the channel number.

 

any time I scan ALL of my TPs come up saying failed! its only at the end around 80% things start to click in at 100% it tells you how many channels you have... or did I miss something here????????

 

When it gets to the end still no channels whatsoever, it ends then the box displays ---- then you have to turn it off then on again which loads back to the Menu screen.

 

Jaysus this is going to be a long one LOL
Try a factory reset... turn off/On then menu installation, check the providor, then scan again,when finnished go to menu press 1570 press default, turn emu on, exit , go to sky and if its right it will update!

 

Done that still no joy all I get is 0 Program found. every time using all the firmwares available, factory reset after every firmware installation.

 

Tried the 8.00, 6.01, 7,09 firmware try the 6.00 download , I dont know what else to try! perhaps you got a corrupt file, try a couple of times and then scan!! Noel and Karl will be around later I would say theyre watching the match!
