By the way I can see your having problems, not being rude mate but you definately do have the live cable feed into the top cable input, it's just that I have done it before myself (Forgot) anyway stupid I know but good luck and goodnight. Forgot to say Congrats - whils back on "have you tried scanning on other providers" have known this to work on occasions.

 

Yeah defo A live feed and in the top input Malci, and not down to CC fault due to my other EV's and single SV working also including the B-band so deffinatley not a live feed problem.

Edit also tried the CDF from my SV in the other room and still no joy.

 

did you press menu and then 1570 or just 1570 on tv screen?

 

HiTeck, try a factory reset & then download the CDF & see if that works.

 

Iam using ver 8.00e.E Boot Ver 8 20 June 2008 On The Box Super but when scanning I am not getting all chans missing 10 but able to get them back with manual scan is anyone having the same problem

 

cheers Noel tried that, I have got another SV so I pluged it into my main feed and did a scan works fine, uploaded the working CDF to my PC then did a factory reset on the SV3, downloaded the CDF to the faulty SV3, then put the SV3 in place of my other SV and still nothing.
any other idea's.

 

Sorry mate I am only at the back end of this and may be missing something. Have you tried the feed to the cable output port to see what you can get?

 

Aplogies Sc0user not sure what you mean, I cant plug the feed into the cable out as it doesn't fit and I have tried the cable output to the TV but I dont get a signal, the only way I get the picture upon the TV is to use scart or the Video, Audio-L & Audio-R.

Ok Sc0user I'll give that a try tomorrow, I know the RF adaptor will make it fit but was unsure of why pluging the feed into the cable output would work but I wont question you on it as I'm sure your right.

Still no joy lads. Tried with a different cable.

It's a brand new box; never put software on it before so maybe box is faulty?

 

can you go to the house of the mate who you borrowed the cable from and try downloading from his PC??

I updated my Starview Clone a few months ago with CryptStar-v1.4-Core257.bin

Not sure if it started immmediately but certainly for the last several weeks, it is not working for some channels.

Many work fine including Sly Sports but for many channels, if you to them what you see is a frozen screen from your last good channel.

Among the channels that are not working are Setanta Sports 2 (Setanta 1 is fine), Channel 4, Sly 1 and all the EuroNews variations.

Any suggestions how to get these back working?

you can manually scan the box in and you should get them back that way

or if you aint bothered about the order of your channels you can reset the box then auto scan the box in if you do that
( wait till auto scan is done first) you will have to press menu /1570/ then turn emu on then hit defaul key exit back out then let it update

Thanks for that. I am fairly sure that I tried an automatic scan before to no avail but I went through it again and all seems to be fine (almost). I wasn't too worried about order of channels and the problem of the frozen channels seems to be gone.

I seem to have lost Setanta Ireland in the process. Is it possible to manually search for that? In general, how do you manually search for channels? This is probably posted somewhere else if you can point me in the right direction.
