had to rescan mine the other day - for some reason we coudl nto get BBC1 - no idea why, but hey a quick rescan and all channels



only problem is i now got a damn houseful of guys tonight to watch the game grr! still ill just have to go out with the girlies for a drink

oh plus I have now told so many people about these boxes and given them my suppliers details - lol i should be on comission

 

Hi DundeeMan, when I asked you about the scanning you where doing earlier on I suspected that you was not doing a Factory Re-set, so before doing a re-scan in future it is better to do a re-set. >>

Menu and scroll down to Factory Settings OK and enter pin 0000, accept English OK, then Installation OK and choose your provider TW with arrow key < > now choose Automatic Scan OK and then it will scan in your providers channels, when finished "amount of channels found and wait for saving" box will appear, leave it. When saved exit exit back to main Menu and enter 1570 to access Cas System Menu and scroll down and turn Key EMU to ON > exit exit out to Sly Spo**s and let it update.

 

I'm having a lot of difficulty flashing my Super Box 3. I Have flashed my box scanned for the channels and turned my emu on. I ahve now been staring at a screen saying "data is being updated..." for thirty minutes with no success it's still at 0%.

Any Ideas???

Stareview 4 The Box Super USB

This file is the first one out for this box and it is just the beta version, there will be a another version coming very shortly.

Download the two bin files in the "The Box Super USB"


To load the files just drag them on to a memory stick and then put the memory stick in the USB port at the back of the receiver.
Then press the menu button on the remote there you will see USB
at the bottom of the screen.
Just highlight USB with the remote then you will see the
(Box Super USB Bin file) appear on the screen.
Highlight "theboxsuperusb_v1.01_beta" with the remote and press the ok button then you will see the file start loading in to the Box.
Once that is complete, do that again but with the "TheBoxSuperUSB_BG_LOGO_080904" file.

Once that is done,

• Turn on the box, press menu and go to installation,
• Select correct provider i.e. NTL, C/W or TW
• Then automatic scan
• Once the channels are found, exit back to the blank screen
• Press menu (ignore what is on the screen) and press 1 5 7 0,
• Go down to the bottom and turn that option ON.
• Now exit and wait for it to store all the data.
• That’s it, have fun

 

Hi everyone out there in pc land - i have just ordered my starview 3 super box. Am i right in thinking that i have to download Gtromloader and 7.09 firmware only? - i am not sure if i need to install crypstar v1.4 genuine too, or is this for another type of starview box - it doesn`t really make it clear to me on this thread - sorry for being dumb! and thankyou guys in advance.

 

Yes you are correct, if you have any doubts just check out the 1st page of this thread, everything you want is there.

 

All that is in Eamos since the day of release, including the software players, Celt usually posts after testing The firmware developers are here until the end of the week so hopefully there wont be too many bugs.

 

Well.... I didn't see a post of it so i thought id help out if it was needed....

Anyone know when there will be a full release (as this one is beta at the mo). Just a few bugs on it... loosing the guide/ channels randomly stop showing when looking through... so have to turn on and off, and just a few little things.

Hi guys it`s the dumb one again! - i forgot to mention that i have the starview 3 super not the starview super with usb, does this make a difference to which software i have to put on my box, or am i still right in thinking that i still download gtromloader and firmware 7.09 only.

 

think you will find if you look back over the pages all the information you want is already on here. maybe check out the front pages for updates etc - check signatures for info on where to look

 

You`ll find the 7.09 firmware here in the "b0x super" folder.
Its a unified folder & you dont need GTRom.

Hi guys let me set the scenario:

I have genuine sv3 the box super
I downloaded GTRom Super 7.09e
Ran it until Download Complete!
Took off the cable
Connected it to tv but it still says scrambled/bad channels?

I have read the instructions on the previous posts but different people are saying different things

Help!

 

you turned "emu" on?

 

Press menu then 1570, turn EMU on press default and go to sly sports in should then say updating data, and will click in!

I have another box Im going to update do I always have to go to Sly sports or can I can I do it on any channel?

 

No you can do it on most channels that have the $ sign, but why wouldnt you go to sly sports anyway?
