have you used the firmware and loader malci gave you a link to?

 

yes i used that but no joy the firmware i used was the_box-t_v1_api

 

so no ideas guys

 

what happens when you press the menu button?

 

when i pressed the menu button it would stop sending a signal to the tv but now it just stalls when i turn it on and the sceen just has ON writen on it would it have anything to do with that first software goin on as background data file

 

tyr flashing again with the box t firmware ,never mind any other files after flashing try and do a factory reset and then see what happens.

 

Sorry karl, lee, was called away, and just back for a while. Yes it looks like you have confused it lee. The best thing I can suggest is that you do another flash with the correct firmware, and ensure that you have ticked the box App File Only box on the loader, it seems that you may have put it on as a background file.

 

i tried to flash it agian and no joy and i cant factory reset because i can not do any thing with the box as the romote iand buttons on the box itself ar not working

 

Is the box ticked as aboove on the loader?

 

yea i have it ticked

 

And you have definately flashed the correct firmware successfully with it like that - did you get the message "Download Complete" (waited for pop up box confirmation).

where are you based lee?are you sure its the box t?

no i am ntl but they are both the same now i thougt also it did not say that when i bought it

 

I bought The Box Super. ver.7.08e. When I try to flash it (using GTRom_Super_8), I get error message "Flash Update Fail...". I've tried changing port but still nothing. I'm using the RS232 cable which came with the box. When I go into device manager it just says COM1, COM2 but doesn't look like its seeing the box. Any ideas??

 

yes they are the same company all right but there mmds is different ch@rus mmds use dvb- t tuner whereas n@l use dvb- c,your box will not work on true digital n@l you will need starview the box or super or eurovox(not eurovox tx)
