    Hi guys,
Im rokcing on the API ver : 6.00e_E and appear to be suffering a case of the lazy update. My EMU is still off but im not getting any channels. Is about time I update it? Not done it before (and despite it turrning off once in a while) until now not had much bother with it.
    Any helps would be appreciated.
    Cheers.
Oh, and the message showing up now is 'Scrambled or bad channel'

Your box needs flashing, thats why you cant access the 1570

if you click the 2 links below my sig it tells you how to do this, and the other brings you to the required firmware you need to download and transfer,in your case its the 8.00e

Hi everyone, i have just updated my starview 3 the super box with gtromloader 7.09e. Everything has been ok for a few hours, i`m getting all channels, but it has started rebooting itself and when it rebots sometimes`starview the box screen` is blurry and pixelated, is this a dodgy box, or is it something i`ve done. This is the second box i have flashed, and i had no problems with the first one, also it is the same gtrom software i have put onto both boxes - please help!

thanks in advance for any replys.

Ive just dusted down the box and found the cable & ... my comp doesn't have the socket! Arrgh.. looks like ill need to get a USB one (hopefully I can find one cheaper than the one on Maplin). By the way im just curious why has 6.0e_E stopped updating?

Well eventually on its own it rebooted itself and downloaded the update on the bbchd channel of all things. so for the time being im still on 6.0e_E but in full vision.

Can't answer your question Dave im affraid as ive not done firmware update myself yet. I suspect though as soon as you connect the box to the pc it should recognise the hardware. - This is probably why the download failed. Maybe check to see if the cpu recognises it..Go to the Start Menu. Right click on "My Computer". Select "Properties". Click on the "Hardware" tab. Click on "Device Manager"

Dave .. Are you using PC or Laptop ?

Null modem cable or rs232 cable as the both look the exact same as the rs232 cable will keep coming up as failed

Hi guys - i have updated my starview 3 super box with gtromloader 8.00e and was wanting to know do i still need to input the latest keys to receive all channels, or will this do it for me - the reason i ask is that i have just seen on ebay a guy who is selling an auto update program for the starview 3 box, which he claims puts an end to inputting new keys all the time. Also i was wondering if you can receive all channels through your cable line if you have only the broadband and telephone package.

keep up the good work dudes

It's a RS232 Null modem cable and if you got it with the reciever it should be fine.

I havn't got time tonight mate I'm off to bed but have a look through these,

For just the Null modem cable try this,

    http://www.4shared.com/file/50328931/7301ddea/Null_Modem_ComPort_SetUp.html?dirPwdVerified=1a61e8c

If your using a Null modem cable and a USB adaptor try this,

    http://www.4shared.com/file/50328985/9798c038/usb_device_set_upwmv.html?dirPwdVerified=1a61e8c

Best of luck! if you dont solve it post back again in here in the morning or whenever.
