hi all im new to afterdawn.com so hope all are keeping well.if someone could please advise me,im getting a starview3 from cableandsat in the next few days does anyone know if they sell clone boxes and if so what firmware do i need im from ireland and using CHOR*S CABLE PROVIDER.

I haven't been on ere for agez, I see you guys are still doing a grand job!! the last time i think was when telepest changed all the autoroll firmware. My starview box is still working fine with the updated v4 genuine firmware. Just wondering has there been any firmware updates since?

 

Sounds like your up to date if it rolls for you

Just purchased the box super USB, when I try automatic scan it just says no new channel info. What do I need to do?
Based in Dublin. If I need firmware where do I get it?

if you press the starview link under my sig it brings you to a tutorial on how to update/flash the box... and then press eamos library for all the firmware you need... any problems get nback, someone will help you out!!!

I have been follwoing this website very closely and i think its a masterpeice. Couple of months back i updated the firmware for my clone starview and initially it was working fine, i mean no hassel of looking for new keys. Now, since few days whenever i am switching the box on it just detects the picture and freezes instantly with a funny number on display(on the box, sometime 0 or 2 or 6)and only sound gets pass through. After switching OFF and back ON the box couple of time and at the same time changing the channel its works fine.


i just cannot figure out whats wrong with it, do i need to update the firmware///

Reflashing may help but it looks like the C11 capacitor on the PSU is on its way out. Have a search around its been discussed numerous times, even this morning

Have you had a look through Celt's Guide.

I have 7.09 & 8.0 dowloaded but will not transfer to the box i bought

 

As per Celts guide are you sure you have the correct cable/cables. And that your Comm Port is set correctly?

hi a bit of a big problem can anyone help. set up the box for a friend a couple of days ago, everything working ok. but he phoned me to say that he got a on screen message saying that he was using a illegal set top box and that if he carried on using it he would be cut off. and guess wot this morning i got a phone call say he as nothing at all but snowy screen. i was always lead to believe that this box had no feedback and that vir** could not tell it is being used. any help please? cheers steve uk Yorkshire.
